Access manager provides the ability to manage user privileges across Enterprise systems in conjunction with the user’s job role which is commonly referred to as Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Access manager can also define policies that govern all the aspects of access. This includes password policy, authentication policy, and access and audit policies. Access manager is typically called a Policy Decision Point (PDP) in the context of extended Access Control Mark-up Language (XACML).
