Ramakrishna Mashetty is the Chief Marketing Officer at Magnaquest Technologies. Earlier, Mr. Mashetty was Chief Technology Officer at Infronics Technologies. Mr. Mashetty has over 20 years of experience in communication and ERP technologies, including serving as Director of Technology at Hughes Network Systems. He has founded and been part of several early stage high-tech companies in USA and India.
Ramakrishna Mashetty holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from University of Texas and an MBA from Duke University.
At Magnaquest, Ramakrishna is in charge of Product and Solutions Marketing, Field Marketing, Product Strategy and Marketing Communications, Global Customer Programs, Advertising, Campaigns, Events and Branding initiatives.
When he joined Magnaquest, Ramakrishna made it a top priority to make marketing a part of the strategic fabric of the company. One major aspect of this was the creation of a powerful domain and competitive intelligence marketing team, a group built from the ground up that was divided based on the markets served. This increased the targeted focus on each domain served by the product line. With strong internal communication, sales training, benchmarking and dedicated workshops to aid sales and channel partners, he improved the conviction on the business plans and is able to predict a sweeping 9 fold growth in the next 5 years. Equal importance was given to the New Generation Marketing strategy and tactics.
“Online marketing is one of the key elements in our marketing mix and we took our online marketing & social media program to the next level, substantially increasing the number of followers resulting in many targeted webinars, whitepapers and articles to engage them in conversations,” Ramakrishna says.
He introduced a lot of business lines and is successfully heading towards achieving 1000 new customers and a 1 Billion dollar valuation in the next 5 yrs, an aggressive 900% growth target that he set for himself and his team.
At 42, Ramakrishna shares the same enthusiasm and aggression that of a teenager when it comes to dealing with toughest of challenges. An avid reader, a connoisseur of art, aficionado of traditional Indian dance forms, practices yoga, enjoys running, all in all a versatile individual who equally appreciates order and chaos and who leads by example always!
With his new initiative Marketing Mocha, he not only shares his experiences as a CMO but also helps CMOs of other companies who share similar environments and challenges.
