I think great thinkers are the ones who can give the simplest solution to the most complex problems. Such people can be anyone from a common Tea Vendor to High-end Business School Grad. These thinkers are highly motivated individuals who are agitated by the major problems that surround them and they take upon themselves to solve them. I think these people are not hard to find because they stand out among scores of people. I always thought about Mark Zuckerberg to be such a person. Ever tried explaining how a new tablet works or how to access one’s mail over the phone to an elderly person. You will find it steep to get the message across (with a few exceptions, of course). Day to day life of the young today is highly complicated. They are in a maze of devices and varied interfaces and have to access them just to get through the day. Thankfully, GEN Y is intuitive enough to handle all sorts of interfaces they encounter every day. But, what makes things complicated is when they pay up.
The emerging communications star of the West Africa has just lost 2.4 million mobile internet subscribers. In the last month, Nigeria has seen an exodus of subscribers move out of their GSM internet services. However, the internet service providers lik Smile Communications are really happy about it as they are the key benefactors in this new trend. With the evolution of services being delivereed on the internet and increasing acceptance of internet in countries like Nigeria, customers now seem to look for dependable internet service with higher bandwidths at affordable cost. Supported by the increasing density of submarine cable and extention of inland fiber network though the National Broadband Layout, there are some really big expectation from the Nigerian ISP industry in the next few years.
